Linking to Articles & Other Resources: LexisNexis Academic

Learn how to link to articles and other resources in the library's databases to put in TRACS, bibliographies, or syllabi, share via email, or save in your browser.

Linking to LexisNexis

1. Copy the proxy URL and paste into a document: http://libproxy.txstate.edu/login?url=

2. In the Icon Bar (save, print, etc) that appears in the top right corner of your document, select the following graphic   LexisNexis Perma icon  to locate the LexisNexis permalink.

Never copy the URL in the browser address bar when using LexisNexis.  Always select the clipboard link graphic to obtain the permalink.

Example: Click on the permalink graphic and follow the instructions to copy the URL --

3. Paste the URL AFTER the proxy URL to make a new URL that will work from off-campus. Make sure there is no space between the two.

Example: http://libproxy.txstate.edu/login?url=http://www.lexisnexis.com/lnacui2api/api/version1/getDocCui?lni=5906-C9V1-DYTJ-602X&csi=257912&hl=t&hv=t&hnsd=f&hns=t&hgn=t&oc=00240&perma=true

4. Test your link to be sure it works!
