Master of Health Information Management (MHIM)

This guide was created to assist MHIM students with accessing library and University online resources.

Guide Contents

This guide has six pages including this Home page.

Access these other pages through the tabs above.

Finding Articles: see this page when you are ready to start finding peer-reviewed articles for a paper or assignment. Also, see this page when you have trouble accessing a database off campus, or when an article you need is not available through University Libraries and you'd like us to see if we can get it from another library.

Search Strategies: try out these time-saving search strategies when you begin searching the databases on the Finding Articles page.

Avoiding Plagiarism: has resources that can help you cite sources that you've used in your research paper, when you have either quoted, paraphrased or summarized someone else's work or ideas.

EndNote: citation management tool that creates a Reference List in APA 7th edition; set it up before starting to research. Then you can export citations for relevant articles as you find them.

Finding Books & E-Books: from this page you can access the library catalog where you can search for print books and e-books. Also, e-book collections are listed on this page, and they are worth searching directly for e-books on HIM.
