University Libraries at Texas State University has tangible government documents located at the Alkek Library and at the Archives and Research Center (ARC). This page explains how to access documents located at the ARC.
The Archives and Research Center (ARC) is owned by Texas State University, and it is 4.1 miles away from the Alkek Library.
The ARC is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The facility is open to the public and has a reading room where patrons may read and scan materials onsite. There is a digital microform reader at the ARC, allowing patrons to scan the government documents microfiche collection. Patrons may also check material out at the location.
In addition, items from the ARC may be requested to be sent to other Texas State University library facilities at the main San Marcos campus and the Round Rock campus.
If a patron has a NetID and password, items may be requested through the online catalog. The Request/Hold button will take you to a short form. Periodicals and microforms have an option to request an item be scanned and sent electronically.
