AI Literacy

This guide provides an overview of artificial intelligence (AI), with a particular focus on generative AI and AI Literacy in the library and in the research process.

It is designed to help Texas State University students, faculty, and staff navigate the uses and implications of this emerging technology. 

Librarians and specialists are focused on artificial intelligence and gen AI use in the research process, and our position is one that prioritizes the development of critical thinking and information literacy skills for the campus community. 

The TXST University Libraries endorses the Research Libraries Guiding Principles for Artificial Intelligence from the Association of Research LIbraries.
