Protests for Change: Riots & Protests for Racial Equality: Home

This guide corresponds with the June 2020 Exhibit: Protests for Change. The guide is also meant to provide resources for and about protesters, and the Black Lives Matter movement.

About the Exhibit

This guide is for a Library collection display of books, DVDS, databases, virtual and streaming resources on the topic of riots & protests confronting racial inequality experienced by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) in the United States.

The purpose of the display is to support the mission of diversity and inclusion, which are part of the mission statements of the university, university libraries, Office of Equity and Inclusion and Office of Student Diversity and Inclusion (SDI).  In light of President Trauth's email addressing the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, now is the time to provide materials that support education about systemic racism and its impact on the lives of BIPOC in the United States, within Texas and here within our Bobcat family.
