Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)

Interlibrary Loan is a service we offer to borrow materials from other libraries on your behalf when the University Libraries cannot provide access to needed research materials.  Requests can be made for books, articles, and more.  All you have to do is submit the request; the library will try to find a library that has a copy and work to borrow it on your behalf.  Always make sure to check our online catalog first before submitting an Interlibrary Loan request.

*Sign in to Interlibrary Loan with you NetID and password.

Texas State University uses the ILLiad system to handle Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests.  If a request is successful physical items may be picked up at any campus library location. You can designate in your profile which locations you would like as your "home" location.

ILL items cannot be delivered to off campus locations.

Please Note: Typical turnaround time for print book requests. is 1-2 weeks. Turnaround time for articles varies but most articles are delivered within 24-48 hours excluding nights/weekends/holidays.

If the lending library scans an item, such as an article or book chapter, you will be able to access the material online.

If you need assistance filling out the form please contact the Library.
