Juvenile Collection & Texas Textbook Collection

The Juvenile Collection is located on the 6th floor. See the library directory for a map showing its location.

To search for only Juvenile books, you can limit your catalog search to Juvenile Collection in the drop down next to the catalog search box.

The State of Texas adopted Textbook Collection, including K-12, is located in the Government Information Unit on the 4th floor.

The art books are located in the Ns on the 6th floor and in the oversize Ns on the 6th floor as well. See the map below for these areas and other specific areas to find different types of books related to art/images/aesthetics.

Finding Books, eBooks, and other library materials

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Log in to ILLiad to make an Interlibrary Loan request

Interlibrary Loan is a Library lending service available to current TxState students and employees. ILL borrows items from other libraries that the Alkek Library does not own.

This service is free to Texas State students, faculty, and staff. Typical turnaround for a book is 2 weeks.  Turnaround time for articles varies depending on format (hard copy or electronic) but averages 2 to 3 days.
