Think Tanks and Research Institutes
Several research institutes and think tanks create reports and policy briefs. These documents are very unlikely to be peer-reviewed and the organizations may have biases. However, these can still be good sources of research.
Here are just a couple of examples.
Policy Briefs Documents
Preparing Policy Briefs by FAO
Food and Agricultural Organization. “Writing Effective Reports: Preparing Policy Briefs.” www.fao.org/docrep/014/i2195e/i2195e03.pdf. Retrieved September 2014.
Policy Briefs from CIAO
CIAO (Columbian International Affairs Online) for research in international affairs. While many environmental topics may not be covered, it does have policy briefs from a variety of different institutions and think tanks.
