Victimology is "An area of criminology which studies the victims of crime and their relationship with offenders," Oxford Dictionary of Law Enforcement. This course examines the causes of crime, crime victimization and competing explanations for crime and the impact of crime-
on-crime victims. The course draws on perspectives advanced by several diverse fields of inquiry, for example, biology, psychology, sociology, and the political and economic sciences.
