ArcGIS isn’t natively available for macOS. To use it, you’ll need to run Windows on your Mac.
Parallels is a program that makes this possible by creating a virtual Windows computer inside your Mac. Once it’s set up, you can install and use ArcGIS like you would on a Windows PC. ITAC does not officially provide Parallels software, which means that you will have to purchase and install your own copy of the software ($50 for students). There is a free trial available where you can test it out on your Mac before purchasing. Please note that ArcGIS may have some inherent functionality limitations/bugs with Parallels; reach out to us and we will do our best to assist you with any of these or provide a workaround.
