Environmental Scan - OWLS: Home

Purpose

This environmental scan for the Department of Organization, Workforce and Leadership Studies (OWLS) collects data to help the librarian expand relationships with and provide better services for the faculty and their students. This document has been prepared by the librarian liaison to OWLS. In 2015, the department did a complete overhaul of their program; a packet outlining all changes were provided to the librarian. The librarian will work with the department to ensure students in classes are provided library research support especially in light of the fact that many more courses are moving online:

  • A previously recorded tutorial provided by the librarian will need to be redone. This is used on online and hybrid courses.
  • The librarian will continue to work with faculty to have the library become a part of their orientation to students.
  • Research and course guides will need to be updated in order to reflect new course numbering and requirements.
