Tools for Long-term Research: Google Scholar

Steps

  1. Go to Google Scholar and run a keyword search.
  2. On the left side of the screen of your search results, you'll see a Create Alert mail icon.
  3. If you have a Google Scholar Profile set up and signed in, the Alert email box will show your email. All you need to do then is click the CREATE ALERT button.
  4. If you don't have a profile to sign into, the "Alert email:" will show a link to "Change email" which you can click and enter the email you want to use for the alert. Once you enter it to set the email, then you can click the CREATE ALERT button to activate the search alert.
