Love Data Week is an international celebration of data, taking place every year during the week of Valentine's Day. The 2025 theme is "Whose Data Is It, Anyway?". Data collected by groups such as researchers, governments, companies, or organizations may be owned, shared, published online, or combined.
At TXST, Love Data Week 2025 is all about raising awareness of the importance of data management, sharing, preservation, and reuse. This year’s celebration features the second annual TXST Open Datathon, a week-long event hosted by the University Libraries, promoting open data use through open-access resources like the Texas Data Repository. The Datathon encourages participants to leverage open data for insights that drive effective decision-making and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by sharing data and project outcomes with the TXST community. We invite you to join us!
