Peer Research Coaching
Peer Research Coaches are Texas State students trained to help our fellow Bobcats. They are undergrad students from a variety of majors and we work closely with librarians and staff for training on how to assist our fellow students. They are excited and ready to guide you in your research! Just stop by Alkek 301 anytime between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
Help covering the following is available:
- Finding and narrowing a research topic
- Locating scholarly sources
- Using library databases
- Managing your citations
- And more - just ask!

Book an appointment with a Writing Center Consultant! *Note: After two missed appointments, the scheduling system will block future appointments—more resources for students, such as citation guides and best practices in academic writing available online.

The Student Learning Assistance Center (SLAC) can help you learn through various academic support programs, including a walk-in tutoring lab, Supplemental Instruction, Veteran Academic Success Center, and excellent online resources. One of their peer tutoring center's, The Study is conveniently located on the 4th floor of Alkek Library.
