University Libraries: Researcher Support

Guidance on support and resources through the University Libraries for researchers at all stages of the research lifecycle process.

Institutional Repository

The Texas State University Research and Scholarship institutional repository is a collection bringing together the research and scholarly work of the university community. The institutional repository centralizes, preserves, and makes accessible the knowledge generated by the university researchers, which includes faculty publications, journals, conference papers, posters, and presentations, electronic theses and dissertations, and other research works. It provides long-term preservation and access to the university’s intellectual and creative output increasing visibility and showcasing our research impact.

Texas State Dataverse Repository

The Texas State Dataverse Repository is a research data management system hosted through the Texas Digital Library. The Dataverse Repository allows university researchers to add, share, and publish data and project work. The Texas Data Repository is provided on the Dataverse platform developed and used by Harvard University and part of the IQSS Dataverse Project.

ORCID Research Identifier

An ORCID iD is a unique identifier for researchers. It allows research activities to be accurately attached to individuals over time, between institutions, and across multiple information systems. Manage grants, publications, and other scholarly information in one place and include your ORCID iD in manuscript submissions and funding agencies to automatically add and create updated records of your work. The Texas State University Libraries are institutional members of ORCID allowing researchers to login with their TXST NetID and password and with integration in TXST Faculty Profiles to import ORCID records into the faculty qualifications platform. More information on ORCID is available in our guide.
