Love Data Week is an international celebration of data, taking place every year during the week of Valentine's Day. The 2026 theme is "Where’s the Data?"- a way to get people thinking about data’s journey from collection through storage and preservation.
At TXST, Love Data Week 2026 is all about raising awareness of the importance of open data science and practices, including data management, analysis, visualization, sharing, preservation, and reuse. This year’s celebration features the third annual TXST Open Datathon, a week-long event hosted by the University Libraries, promoting open data use through open-access resources like the Texas Data Repository. The Datathon encourages participants to leverage open data for insights that drive effective decision-making and fosters interdisciplinary collaboration by sharing data and project outcomes with the TXST community. We invite you to join us!
