The Texas State University Digital Repository is your place to share, preserve, and showcase your scholarly and creative work with a global audience. Whether you're a faculty member, staff, or student, this platform helps increase the visibility and long-term impact of your work.

  • Graduate and doctoral students (with a faculty sponsor and approval)

How to Submit Your Work (Step-by-Step)

Prepare Your Files Before Submission

Before starting the submission process, take a few moments to ensure your files are ready:

  • Finalize Your Document or Project Files
    • Submit the final, polished version of your work.
  • Gather Any Supporting Materials
    • Include related files such as appendices, images, or multimedia components.
  • Confirm Permissions for All Content
    • Ensure you have the right to share your work, including any third-party materials (images, music, video, or other media).
    • Note: Published materials may be subject to publisher copyright restrictions.

Tip: Before signing a publishing agreement, check whether you can share your work in the repository. Visit our Content Types and Publication Versions page for guidance on which versions are eligible for sharing.

Step 1: Log in to the Texas State Digital Repository

  • Go to the TXST Digital Repository homepage.
  • Click on Log in link in the top right corner.
  • Select Log in with Shibboleth and using your TXST NetID and password.

Step 2: Start a New Submission

  • Click on the [+] Plus Symbol in the left-side navigation menu.
  • Select Item under the New Submission menu.

  • Select the appropriate collection for your work (e.g., College of Engineering, College of Liberal Arts).
  • You can type a word in the search box to generate the potential collection you are looking for to submit your new item.
  • Note: Collections are at the top-level and for faculty publications, these are organized by College. The specific department(s) for each affiliated author will be added during the review by Repository Staff to ensure accuracy and for more detailed searching.

  • Complete the form with details such as title, author(s), abstract, keywords, format.
  • For fields that allow for more than one entry (e.g., author, keywords) you can click the [+] Plus Add More button below the field to add additional entries.

Step 3: Upload Your File(s)

  • Upload your main file (PDF, MP4, etc.).
  • Add any supplementary files if application.
  • You can drag and drop your files to upload.

Step 4: Review and Agree to Non-Exclusive Distribution License

  • You retain copyright and the license agreement confirms that the materials will be made available in the Texas State Digital Repository.

Step 5: Review and Submit

  • Review your information.
  • Submit your work - you're all set!
  • Submissions will be reviewed by Repository Staff and you will receive a confirmation email with the permanent link once your submission is online.
