Linking to Articles & Other Resources: Web of Science

Learn how to link to articles and other resources in the library's databases to put in Canvas, bibliographies, or syllabi, share via email, or save in your browser.

Web of Science Permalinks

Web of Science only provides article citations, but not the articles' full text. This means there are no permalinks available unless a record has a DOI.

For articles that have a DOI, you can create a permalink. This url DOI: 10.1108/IJSHE-11-2011-0073 needs to be converted to this:

http://dx.doi.org/10.1108/IJSHE-11-2011-0073

Next, we need to add the library proxy to complete the permalink:

http://libproxy.txstate.edu/login?url=http://dx.doi.org/10.1108/IJSHE-11-2011-0073

Creating permalinks for Web of Science may seem confusing because of the additional steps.  It may be easier to just provide a citation for a user or try searching the article's title in Start Your Research for a record with a permalink.
